"Practice creates the master."
"Knowledge is the beginning of learning; but mastery is born from a process in which that knowledge is repeatedly applied, tested through experience, and internalized. Knowledge provides us with a roadmap. Acquiring theoretical knowledge about a subject is the first step in understanding how to do something. Learning knowledge is a process of exploration for the mind and opens us up to new understandings. However, this knowledge remains abstract until it is applied and does not merge with the realities of life. It's like reading a guide that explains how to do a task; until you actually start doing it, knowledge remains just potential.
Experience brings knowledge to life. During practice, we see how a piece of knowledge truly works, what it promises, and what results it produces. Experience is a process where knowledge is tested; it teaches us not only what is correct but also which paths are ineffective, what mistakes can be made, and how to improve. In this sense, experience is a teacher. It shows how what is learned in theory manifests in practice and what it transforms into.
Mastery in a subject is achieved not by using knowledge once but by establishing a continuous relationship with that knowledge. Practice allows knowledge to be internalized, deepened, and made usable in real life. Each practice builds upon previous experiences and gradually becomes more natural and instinctive. Repeating an action initially requires conscious effort; however, after sufficient repetition, that action transforms into bodily memory.
Practice is the process by which knowledge takes root in the body.
The saying "practice creates the master" reminds us that knowledge only gains meaning through experience. The process that transforms knowledge into true mastery is the continuous application of that knowledge in life. Practice is a path that tests, develops, and deepens knowledge."
