Self-Care

Updated: Sep 18

Öz bakım, self care

In the rush of life, it can be easy to forget that self-care is not a luxury but a necessity. Self-care is not just about pampering ourselves; it represents a comprehensive approach that addresses our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs as an extension of the value we place on ourselves. When we consistently neglect our needs, we can find ourselves in a state of burnout, affecting every aspect of our health. Knowing how to care for ourselves means engaging in activities that support our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. These actions can manifest in many ways depending on our personal needs: honoring our need for rest, being able to say no, and making choices that support our inner joy and peace are some examples.

Self-care is about discovering what truly nourishes us:

How do I nourish my body, mind, and spirit?

What do I need to distance myself from or change that is not serving me well?

What activities can I choose that honor and better nourish my well-being?

When we practice self-care, the energy and love we give to ourselves and others come from a renewed source, not from a place of depletion."
